A Little About Me

Baby Sleep Help

I am Mental Health Nurse, Wife and Mama to two little ones, living in the North East of England but covering the UK, Ireland and beyond. After struggling to conceive for many years we finally fell pregnant in 2020 following IVF/ICSI. We were overjoyed, but our joy soon turned to fear as the pandemic unfolded. Ava came along in October 2020 and it’s safe to say she wasn’t the easiest baby as she struggled with reflux and colic. As a new mother I had no idea about the sleep needs of my baby and resorted to Google for the answers but very quickly became confused by the difference in information from many different sources.

Fast forward 3 years and after 18 months of trying for another baby we were about to call the clinic to start another round of IVF. Much to our surprise on a cold November morning I got the first ever second line without IVF and we couldn’t believe it.

Harry was born in July 2024 after a difficult pregnancy but he was a little dream from day 1. However, like most parents we hit 3 months and things started to change with Harry’s sleep and suddenly I was transported back to my days with Ava, not sleeping, feeling exhausted and not knowing what to do.

Hi, I’m Sarah

Baby Sleep Expert

Why did I become a Sleep Consultant?

I have always had a passion for sleep, whether it be with my patients working in Mental Health or with my children. I began understanding a little around the science of sleep when I had Ava but it wasn’t until Harry came along and hit his 4 month sleep regression when I started looking a little deeper.

I came across The Sleep Consultant Academy and it sparked my interest. I booked a call with one of their amazing team and the rest is history. I am currently trained with OCN L3 Sleep Consultancy but I am working towards my L6.

My ethos around sleep training is the same as it is with my patients - no one size fits all. That’s why I complete a holistic assessment at the start of our journey and use your goals to determine the outcome. I use gentle, gradual sleep training methods and results can be seen in as little as 3-4 days.

Whether it be transitioning to a new room, navigating sleep regressions, changing sleep associations or improving night/day sleep there are lots of ways I can help.
